The Nursing Home Program

This extramural geriatric dentistry program provides dental care to residents of 21 nursing homes with a combined total of 3210 residents. There are additional nursing homes on the waiting list.

This program employs one full-time faculty who administer the program, two part-time faculty and a full-time dental assistant.

Over 1800 patient visits are completed annually, where senior dental students provided comprehensive treatment to nursing home residents.
