Equipment and Material:

a. Maxillary and mandibular processed complete dentures, finished and polished

b. Bowl and spatula

c. tissue paper, pumice, or soft wax

d. Mounting stone

e. Petroleum Jelly

Procedure:
a. Block out undercut areas in the tissue surfaces of the maxillary and mandibular dentures with wet tissue paper. Moist pumice or soft wax can also be used for this purpose.

b. Mix mounting stone and place it into the residual ridge areas of the maxillary denture. Make a  patty with the remaining stone and invert the maxillary denture onto the stone patty. take care not to embed the denture borders so deeply in the stone that the denture is damaged upon removal. The denture should be stable on the remount cast.

c. Repeat step two using the mandibular denture.

d. Allow the stone to set, 30 minutes. Carefully trim the remount casts. You will now mount the maxillary denture on its remount cast using the remount jig and occlusal index previously made.
