College Hosts Annual Research Day -- February 17th

February, 2009

The College of Dentistry will host its 25th Annual Research Day on Tuesday, February 17th, from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the OSU Biomedical Research Tower.

The Annual Research Day event gives dentistry’s students and researchers an opportunity to present abstracts in a public forum and to compete for awards. Featuring the College’s biomedical researchers, this event also provides a venue in which dentistry colleagues and visitors from other departments at Ohio State can learn about the new and innovative research projects being conducted within the College.

Guest speaker Susan W. Herring, Ph.D., of the University of Washington will deliver a presentation titled, “We Are What We Eat: Jaw Muscles and the Skull.”

College presenters include dental and dental hygiene students, post-doctoral and Ph.D. students, residents, and fellows. More than 50 abstracts will be presented on an array of research topics. Posters will be displayed throughout the day, with presenters available to discuss their research findings with visitors, guests, and judges.

The event is free and all OSU health sciences professionals are welcome to attend. For more information, click here or contact Dianne Spires at: spires.56@osu.edu.
