Music in the Courtyard Offers Food and Fun for Students, Faculty and Staff!

July 2009

On Friday, July 10th the first in a series of Music in the Courtyard events took place on the lawn and in the courtyard adjacent to Postle Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Offering free music and ice cream bars and a chance to play cornhole games or to just take a break for lunch and relaxation, the event was attended by dentistry students, faculty, staff, and Dean Carole Anderson.

Sponsored by the Sterilization Monitoring Service (SMS) and the Office of Admissions, the Music in the Courtyard events were created by Professor of Clinical Dentistry and Director of Admissions Joen Iannucci. “We all strive to create goodwill and collegiality among our faculty, staff and students,” Iannucci said, “and we hope events like these will provide ongoing memorable and positive experiences.”

The next Music in the Courtyard events will include the following:

~ Pop music played on speakers in the courtyard.

~ Picnic blankets will be available (25 total) for all to use.

~ DQ Dilly bars will be provided (compliments of SMS) to all College of Dentistry students, staff and faculty.
