Distinguished Lecture Series Presents Dr. Stephen Hecht -- October 23rd

The College of Dentistry’s Distinguished Lecture Series presents Stephen S. Hecht, Ph.D., a Wallin Land Grant Professor of Cancer Prevention and an American Cancer Society Research Professor at the University of Minnesota's Masonic Cancer Center.

Dr. Hecht's research focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which carcinogens in tobacco products, the human diet, and the general environment are metabolically activated and detoxified in humans, with the aim of developing practical strategies for cancer prevention.

This distinguished lecture, Mechanisms and Prevention of Tobacco-Induced Cancer, will be presented October 23rd from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in room 115 of the Biomedical Research Tower on the The Ohio State University's main campus. (Lunch is provided.)
