Dr. Anne Hague, an assistant
professor in the
Division of Dental Hygiene, has conducted extensive
research on the importance of the early recognition,
clinical manifestations, and oral health management of
patients with eating disorders. Her most recent
publication is titled,
Eating Disorders: Screening in the Dental Office, which was published in the June issue of the prestigious
Journal of the American
Dental Association, a premier, peer-reviewed
publication that presents the best and most significant
research in dentistry.
A registered dietitian and a dental
hygienist, Dr. Hague also holds a Ph.D. in Food and
Nutrition Sciences from The University of Maine.
Throughout her career, she has presented continuing
education courses on nutrition and oral health,
conducted research in the area of body weight, oral
health and nutrition education, and she has published
scholarly articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
