Dr. Julie Holloway Wins ACP Clinician/Researcher Award

College of Dentistry associate professor Julie Holloway recently won the American College of Prosthodontists Clinician Researcher Award for 2010. The director of the Advanced Prosthodontics Graduate Program at Ohio State, Dr. Holloway is also a Fellow of the American Board of Prosthodontists, making her one of only eleven board certified prosthodontists in the state of Ohio.

An alumna of the College of Dentistry's Doctor of Dental Surgery program (1990) and the Advanced Prosthodontics Graduate Program, Holloway began her career as a dentistry faculty member in 1993. The recipient of a number of teaching and research awards, her most recent honor as the winner of the ACP 2010 Clinician Researcher Award recognizes her “outstanding contributions to the welfare and advancement of the American College of Prosthodontists,” in addition to her “outstanding contributions to academic dentistry and the sciences and health professions.”

Throughout her career, Dr. Holloway has served in a number of dental leadership positions. She is a current member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and she is a former president (2003-2008) of the Ohio chapter of the American College of Prosthodontists. Holloway also serves as an advisory committee member for the American Dental Education Association.
