The Sigma Phi Alpha honor society recognizes outstanding leadership and academic excellence.

Continuing its tradition of honoring students who demonstrate outstanding leadership and academic excellence, the College of Dentistry’s Zeta Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha welcomed its newest alumni members, Kyle Keller, Jennifer Mitchell, and Chadleo Webb at a ceremony on April 4.

The Sigma Phi Alpha national honor society for dental hygiene students was founded in 1958 to recognize the highest achieving students in dental hygiene programs throughout the U.S.

The College of Dentistry's induction ceremony included a special welcome to Sigma Phi Alpha’s new honorary members -- Dental Hygiene faculty member Ms. Shivani Patel, RDH, and Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Simon Prior, BDS, MS, PhD.
