Omicron Kappa Upsilon Presents Awards and Welcomes New Members


The Theta Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society recognizes dental
students who demonstrate scholarship and outstanding character.

 

 

The College of Dentistry's Theta Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society for dental students welcomed this year's new members at a banquet that included the presentation of two student awards.   

A welcome was given by Dr. Angelo Mariotti, Chair of the Division of Periodontology, and President of the OKU Theta chapter.

OKU was established to promote and recognize scholarship and character among students of dentistry.

The college’s most recent student members were introduced and welcomed at the event: Kristy Bultema, Daniela Canache, Christine Carr, Douglas DeMille, Gregory England, Trisha Gable, Brandon Glenn, Melissa Gusching, Kathleen McCormick, Brian Morningstar, Joseph Pittman, and Alexander Tipton.

The William S. Kramer Award of Excellence was presented to Ms. Shannon Sullivan, and the Orville E. Russell Award of Excellence was given to Mr. Michael Border for demonstrating scholarship, character, and the potential promise for advancement of dentistry and service to humanity.
