A world-renowned expert in dental traumatology, Dr. McTigue teaches Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health at both the predoctoral and graduate levels and maintains a private faculty practice at the Ohio State College of Dentistry. Congratulations, Dr. McTigue!
Casamassimo Installed as ODA President-Elect Dr. Paul Casamassimo, Chief of Dentistry at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Chair of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health, was recently installed as President-Elect of the Ohio Dental Association. The Ohio Dental Association has been informing, representing, and serving the dental profession since 1866. As past Vice President of the ODA, Past President of the AAPD, and current director of the AAPD's Policy Institute, Dr. Casamassimo's leadership efforts and participation in organized dentistry have impacted general and Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health for generations to come. Dr.
Dennis McTigue, faculty within the Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health was recently awarded the ODA Achievement Award for
his lifelong commitment to children's oral health and to the education
of fellow dentists. With over 40 years of service to the dental
community, Dr. McTigue's career spans the local, state and national
level. He is a past Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health at
the Ohio State University and has served as a past president of multiple
national dental organizations, including the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health , the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health , and the
Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped.
