The Ohio State University College of Dentistry

Postdoctoral Patients

The Graduate Periodontology clinic is located on the 2nd floor of Postle Hall, on the OSU campus. The clinic is open to the public and provides services at significantly reduced fees, when compared to private periodontal practice. The College of Dentistry also accepts many different types of dental insurance, which again reduce patient out-of-pocket costs.

In the Graduate Periodontology clinic, the full spectrum of periodontal therapy is provided by dentists who are receiving specialty training under the supervision of periodontal faculty. The clinic provides such services as gum deep cleaning (periodontal scaling and root planing), gum grafts (treatment of gum recession), other types of gum surgery, procedures to regenerate lost bone, placement of dental implants, and other helpful surgical procedures.
