Linda is originally from Providence, Rhode Island. Coming from a military family, Linda spent most of her childhood moving. She lived in Austria, Italy, North Carolina and then moved to Columbus, OH in 1973. Linda’s career was spent primarily in retail banking. She created a quality control team that scrubbed electronic data pursuant to Federal Regulations, took courses offered through the American Institute of Banking at the University of Oklahoma, and classes through Columbus State. Linda joined the Division of Periodontology in June, 2001. When time allows, she loves getting to go to the beach, especially in New Port Richey, FL where her parents reside.

Deb currently works in Dr. Mariotti's research lab. She was born in Knoxville, TN but also lived in North Carolina and Texas as child. At the age of 10, her family finally settled down in an East Side suburb of Cleveland, OH. She spent 6 years at the University of Dayton where she graduated with a BS in biology and a MS in biology (microbial physiology - Thesis: The Effect of Nitrate Reduction on Nitrate Transport in Escherichia coli). She has been a researcher in different laboratories at OSU since 1991. Some of her research experience has been: cell-cycle control of polarity in yeast, antiviral drugs and cell to cell interactions between infected and uninfected cells (feline model), and hybridoma/monoclonal antibody production. When she is not in the laboratory, library or clinic, Deb likes to hang out with her friends, recreate medieval armored combat, and knit/crochet her way through her yarn stash.

Lisa was born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Mansfield, OH. She moved to Columbus, OH in 2002 to study dental assisting at The Ohio Institute of Health Careers. She worked in private practice for 3 and a half years before she came to work in the Division of Periodontology at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Outside of work, Lisa is happily married with one girl and two boys. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. She also teaches Sunday school and is part of the dancing team at her church.

Originally from Waverly, Ohio, Courtney attended Ohio University where she was involved in music, theater and art history and received an Associates in Arts. Before coming to The Ohio State University, she worked with a local veterinarian who specializes in dentistry. She is very excited to be a part of the College of Dentistry working with such a friendly and positive team. She enjoys gardening, fishing, photography and spoiling her nephew.

Chanthanom Romine (La)

Chanthanom (LA) Romine is a Dental Assistant in the Division of Periodontology. She's happily married with two children, a son and a daughter. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, shopping, and listening to music. She enjoys working with the staff and patients in the division.

Joan comes from Fremont, Ohio, where she and her husband Tom operated a farm growing specialty crops, before moving to Columbus in 2001. Previous to joining the OSU Division of Periodontology in November of 2003, she worked in customer service at Nordstroms. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, walk, bike ride and go to the movies.

Jean comes to us from Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated with a certificate in dental hygiene from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygenists, and a B.S. from Northeastern University in Boston. She also has attended the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and the Columbus College of Art and Design for a B.F.A. Jean has practiced dental hygiene primarily in a periodontal private practice setting. She has been employed in the OSU Division of Periodontology since June, 2002. She is married with two children.
